Gary's New Terrarium
Gary has grown a lot since I first got him, about an inch at least, and his tail has thickened up too. Things were starting to feel cramped in the 10-gallon terrarium I bought last year for a tiny house gecko. I would eventually like to build my own enclosure, but his rapid growth led to my spontaneous decision to order one online. I wanted a terrarium with about twice the floor space, still fits on the same table, and has doors on the front for easy access. I found a 24"x18"x12" low-profile terrarium by Exo-Terra and placed an order. After several days of waiting, I finally received the package. I was very disappointed to find one side smashed and one door completely broken off. I was able to get a refund, and ordered from a different supplier that had a shorter delivery route. Luckily, this one came in intact and it was a perfect fit for the table I keep the terrarium on. Gary really likes having the extra room to fit all of his hides and rocks. Having doors in the front is also very convenient, and he is more comfortable being handled now. It's also easier to take photos without having glass in the way, so expect more high-quality photos of Gary soon!
